| J&K govt adopting anti-farmer policies: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
R.S.PURA, Feb 1: To lodge protest against the failure of state government in so0lviong problems of farming community, hundreds of farmers held massive demonstration in the border town of R.S.Pura in support of their demands.
Farmers, who had come from different border areas of R.S.Pura on their tractors, lambasted National Conference led coalition regime for not taking their problems seriously. The demonstration was held under the leadership of former Rajya Sabha member and vice-president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sardar Trilok Singh Bajwa.
Addressing farmers, Bajwa said that government headed by Omar Abdullah has failed to come up to the expectations of the people. He said that during the last two years, government has done nothing to address problems of the farming community. Prominent among others who addressed the demonstration included former MLA Shanti Devi, PDP secretary Hussain Ali Wafa, Jagjit Singh Jagga, Choudhary Chuni Lal, Gurmeet Singh Bajwa and others.
