| Awareness camp for handicapped organized, hearing aid machines distributed | | |
BHADERWAH NOV 09-
Fifty hearing aid machines, 20 crutches, six motorized wheel chairs and 20 wheel chairs were distributed among the handicapped persons at an awareness camp organized by the Social Welfare Department here today.
District Social Welfare Officer Shahid Mehmood who was the Chief Guest at the camp and distributed the material among the handicapped. Nearly 200 handicapped persons of the tehsil took part in the awareness camp.
Mehmood while addressing the gathering has urged the handicapped to derive maximum benefits from the schemes launched for their welfare.
District President Handicapped Association Farooq Ahmed Thoug appreciating the role of District officer has urged the need for providing artificial limbs to the needy for the measurement has already been taken in March last.
CDPO Bhaderwah, Panther Party Iqbal Choudhary, NC leader Shabir Ahmed Choudhary, Bashir Ahmed Wani of Congress Dal, Secretary Block Congress Lal Man were also present on the occasion..
