| Seized heroin, charas destroyed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Feb 1: The narcotics control bureau (NCB) destroyed 15 kg heroin and 8 kg charas in an incinerator here today.
The contraband had been seized by NCB here during the past few years, NCB zonal director B L Naik told reporters here this morning.
The seized heroin and the charas were burnt on a court directive, he added.He said these had to be disposed off, but it could not be done without court directions."The contraband has been destroyed in the insinuator keeping in view the norms of pollution control board," he added. |
