Pak chopper detected flying close to IB | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 1: A Pak army helicopter was today found flying close to the International Border (IB) in R S Pura sub-sector near here.BSF sources said the olive green chopper, which flew close to the IB at about 3.40 pm, was sighted by BSF men deployed at Alfa Machial outpost in RS Pura. An alert was sounded soon thereafter, the sources added. Sources said the chopper was sighted flying near the IB in Kalyal Kaber forward post area of Pakistan. The issue would be taken up with the Pak Rangers by BSF, the sources added. Earlier on January 19, two enemy aircrafts had flown close to the IB here. Their movement and approach were picked up by sensors and radars. Thought the aircrafts were flying in Pakistani territory, it was a breach of agreement between the two sides that barred flying of fixed-wing aircrafts in 10 km area from either side of the border, sources said.In the last three years, Pak rmy aircrafts, helicopters and spy drones or unmanned aerial vehicles have violated Indian airspace on 23 occasions. |
