JKGEJAC supports protest call | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 2: The J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (JKGEJAC) held a meeting at Jammu headed by Khurshed Alam, its State President. The participants supported the call given by Joint Consultative Committee . They alleged that the State Government was in practice to release the salary and perks of Ministers, MLAs / MLCs in one go but the others side they show empty coffers when employees demand 6th pay arrears, DA to its employees. Alam said that employees are the supporters and the voters of the Government and play a vital role to complete the election process in the militancy prone areas remote areas at the risk of their lives. Above than 4 lacs employees are serving in Government Departments/ PSUs having strength more than 30 lacs including their fan1ilies, but are The JCC, which is the major platform of the employees for highlight the employees problem, has given a call for a protest in front of Civil Secretariat to remind the Government for redressal of the demands. He urged the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter and solve the issue by inviting the leadership of Joint Consultative Communities before February 21 or otherwise the employees have no alternative except to launch protest. Amongst the others present in the meeting S/Sh Jaswant Singh, Dev Anand Gill, Suresh Sharma, Balvinder Singh, Shaheed Hussain, Darminder Singh, Kulwant Singh, Ravi Singh Balm, C K Sudan, Sukhb'ir Singh Sudan and Tanvir Shawl.
