| 2 held with 123 kg poppy straw | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 2: A truck driver and his accomplice were today apprehended by police at Jhajjar Kotli along 123 kilograms of poppy straw.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a truck (JK02AB/6495) at Jhajjar Kotli and recovered 123 kg poppy straw during its search, police sources said.
Soon thereafter, the truck and the consignment were seized. Driver Gurbaksh Singh of R S Pura and his accomplice Om Prakash of Vijaypur were also arrested, the sources added.
The Jhajjar Kotli police had registered a case against the accused.
