| Ananya bags ‘Speed Champion’ title | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 2: A student of Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu has bagged “Speed
Champion” title in the recently held 48th National Roller Skating
Championship at Vishakhapatnam from January 6 to 11.
The Class 10 student of DPS, Ananya Khajuria, daughter of Kanchan and
Rajinder Kumar Khajuria, was declared as "Speed Champion of her Group"
(14-16).
She clinched two golds, one each in Rink II (500 mts) and Rink II A
(1000 mts). She also claimed Silver in Time Trials. Ananya is the only
girl skater of Jammu Kashmir who has claimed Speed Championship in any
Nationals organised by the Roller Skating Federation of India.
She also participated in 56th National School Games held from December
26 to January 2 at Bhabana New Delhi where she participated in under
17 years of age group and won two bronze medals in Road and Rink II.
