| JLSA demands dual degree for integrated Law course | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 2: A general body meeting of Jammu Law Students Association (JLSA) was held today in the Jammu University campus. The meeting was attended by the representatives of The Law School, Dogra Law College and K C Law College.
In the meeting, the major issues were discussed and the representatives of every college put forward views about their various demands, the most important of which is that provision of a dual degree like BA, LL B after the completion of 5 years of integrated law
course instead of simple Law degree.
It was decided in the meeting by the president of Jammu Law Students Association MR. Nitin Parihar that a petition would be forwarded to the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University putting forward the issue of assigning BA LLB degree to the law students.
A signature campaign was also started by all the colleges to show their full support for this issue. All law colleges gave full support to this issue by signing the petition and showing that serious and immediate steps should be taken regarding this issue. And more than 300 students signed the petition and gave their consent regarding this issue.
