| Nine stone pelters arrested by Police | | |
Srinagar, February 02: Baramulla Police has arrested nine stone pelters namely Tahir Ahmad Parray S/O Sanaullah Parray, Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohammad Sultan Bhat, Tariq Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, Imtiyaz Ahmad Waza S/O Ab Rashid, Javid Ahmad Bhat S/O Ab Rashid Bhat, Sharief Din Baba S/O Gh Rasool Baba, Mohammad Younis Sofi S/O Mohammad Sadeeq Sofi, Ashiq Hussain Parray S/O Ab Rashid Parray, Mohammad Irfan Wani @ Imtiyaz S/O Mohammad Maqbool Wani all Rs/O Tapper Bala who were involved in Case FIR No. 73/2010 U/S 143, 149, 307, 332, 336 RPC of P/S Kreeri. The said stone pelters were evading their arrest since long and were responsible for creating law and order problems in Kreeri area during the summer unrest 2010. Due to painstaking efforts of Police Kreeri the said miscreants who were involved in provoking and instigating the people for violent protests in Kreeri which include the gutting down the old Police Station building of Kreeri, have been arrested today for further questioning.
