| Man held for sexually exploiting girl | | |
SRINAGAR, Feb 02:
Police today apprehended a man for allegedly exploiting a girl sexually here on the pretext of getting her a job outside Jammu and Kashmir.Police sources identified the accused as Shabir Ahmad Ahanger (42) of Gutroo-Tral in Pulwama.
He was evading arrest for a long time, the sources added.Shabir had allegedly been sexually exploiting a girl from a remote Tral village for a period of more than four months under the pretext of providing her a job outside the state.
Sources said the matter was brought to the notice of police by the victim and her parents. A case under section 376 and 506 of IPC had been registered against the accused, who was arrested from Srinagar, the sources added
