Art of Living Training Programme for Youth concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 2: A 7-day Youth Leadership Training Programme (YLTP) organised by Art of Living at Nagrota concluded today. More than 220 youths from Doda and Budgam participated in the course and were taught self-development techniques, which can easily be integrated into daily life to calm the mind and instill confidence and enthusiasm. Governor, N N Vohra was the chief guest in the valedictory function which was also attended by first lady Usha Vohra, Principal Secretary to Governor, Raj Kumar Goyal, Commissioner Secretary Forests, Shantmanu and teachers of Art of Living. Arunima Sinha, General Manager Training, Government Executive Programme (GEP), J&K was the coordinator of the course and had invited Sanjay Kumar, CEO GEP to train the participants. The participants from different parts of State shared their experience and requested the Governor and organisers to hold more such programmes in future. The Governor called upon the youth to be ambassadors of peace and brotherhood and contribute towards the establishment of a peaceful and cohesive society. He said that in view of its usefulness a comprehensive training programme should be chalked out for all areas in J&K. Vohra urged the Art of Living Foundation to organize this programme for the entire staff of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. He observed that the Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board would also discuss with the Foundation the possibility of providing it support for carrying out its activities. Arunima Sinha expressed, "after experiencing Sudarshan Kriya the participants feel stress free and rejuvenated and reiterated the words of Sri Sri Ravishankar that only a stress free, healthy and a happy individual can truly contribute towards making a divine society".
