Rotary international dispatches truck load of desks to valley schools | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 3: Extending its philanthropic activities, Rotary International today dispatched a truck load of desks for government primary and middle level schools in Kashmir Valley. According to a handout, desks will be provided to schools located in the remote areas along the border that are facing the problem of inadequate infrastructure. Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma flagged off the truck from Rotary Club, Jammu in the presence of President Rotary Club, Dr. Dushyant Choudhary and past Presidents of Rotary International, G.S.Baba and Arun Jain. Lauding role of Rotary International and Rotary Club, Jammu for its philanthropic activities across the country, the Minister said that the Club is doing yeoman's service to the mankind in various fields and supplementing government efforts. He said Club is always on the forefront to render its services during the crisis and extending helping hand to the needy. In his welcome address, Dr. Dushyant informed that Club will be dispatching 4 more truck load of desks to Rajouri, Poonch and Kathua districts shortly. Rotarians G.S.Baba and Arun Jain also spoke on the occasion and briefed the Minister about the activities of the Rotary Foundation and Rotary International. Other members of club, prominent citizens and media persons were also present on the occasion.
