Op Sadbhavana: Army medical camp concludes at Machhedi organized

JAMMU, Feb 3: To spearhead developmental and welfare activities for the people of Machhedi under Army’s “Operation SADBHAVANA” project in Jammu and Kashmir, Gurj division organized a 3-day medical camp concluded in Tehsil Billawar.
Doctors and paramedics of the Indian Army alongwith doctors from Billawar Govt Hospital took part in the medical camp which continued for 03 days. Medical camp provided medical benefits and treatment to about 3500 patients who attended camp from far-flung areas of Machhedi, Loai, Mular, and Nathi.
Inspecting medical camp on February 1, 2011 Col AS Rana, Commanding Officer, 14 PUNJAB(NABHA AKAL) emphasized on the need of ensuring good hygiene and sanitation of the villages, better medical facilities for children and women and an enhanced awareness among the people of Machhedi towards health care. During the medical camp the specialist doctors including surgeon, gynecologist and a pediatrician both from Army and civil hospital provided medical cover to the people of the Machhedi.
