Ex gratia given to kiths of accident victims | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT BANIHAL ,Feb 3: An ex-gratia relief out of Chief Minster’s relief fund was distributed to the kith and kin of Chaknarwah road accident victims in which five persons were killed and eight other injured in November 2010 at Chaknarwah Neel Banihal. A relief of rupees 25000 was paid to the kith and kin of each deceased besides ten thousand to seriously injured and five thousand to the victims with minor injuries. Assistant Commissioner Revenue Naseem Choudhry and Secretary National Conference Ramban Sajjad Shaheen distributed the relief cheques in presence of Tehsildar Banihal Rouf Ahmed besides large number of people and prominent citizens. Sajjad Shaheen while addressing the gathering thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for sanctioning relief in favor of the families of accident victims out of Chief Minister’s relief fund. He further said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is leaving no stone unturned to wipe out the tears of the grief ridden people and is working sincerely to mitigate the problems of the people of the state especially people belonging to remote areas. He asid that days are not far when the state under the dynamic and able leadership of Omar Abdullah will emerge as the most prosperous and developed state of the country.
