| Bring Jammu migrants at par with migrants from Kashmir: Bhalla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 3 : Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Raman Bhalla has sought the attention of Union Home minister towards the matters of significance related not only to his ministry but also the main issues party confronts in Jammu constituency. Bhalla has sought all Jammu migrants be brought under the purview of Security Related Expenditure in terms of disbursement of relief so as to bring them at par with Kashmiri migrants, instead of keeping their category under state policy. The Congress minister has also sought the matter of the refugees be settled in terms of verifying the eligibility under a regular process, by deciding all the pending cases through one time settlement step. This, he has said could be done also by deputing a representative from Union Ministry for speedy disposal of the cases. Bhalla also sought the settlement of issues of west Pakistani refugees by way of economic package in their favour. Apart from raising these issues verbally, a memorandum was submitted to Chidmabaram. " We have conveyed our concern on all these issue and hope Home Minister would pay personal attention towards what has been requested", said Raman Bhalla.
