| BJP leader distributes IAY cheques | | |

JAMMU, Feb 5: Bharatiya Janta Party legislator from Nagrota Jugal Kishore alongwith Block Development Officer (BDO) Dansal Tariq Ahmed distributed cheques of first installment under Indira Awaas Yojna (IAY) to the deserving people of Dansal block in a function held here today.
A total of 40 cheques, each amounting to Rs. 24,250 were distributed among people falling under Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. Jugal Kishore after distributing the cheques said that he had asked the BDO concerned to ensure that claims of those applying for this assistance are thoroughly verified so that only needy people are benefitted. Prominent among those who were also present on the occasion included Vas Dev, Vinay Kumar, Des Raj, Chuni Lal, Omkar Singh,Vijay Kumar, Naseeb Singh and Ajit Kumar.
