| ‘Judaad’ bagged first prize in display your talent | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb.4: “Jugaad” a skit, presented by a team from The Business School, bagged the first team trophy in skit competition, conducted by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu under the ongoing “Display Your Talent” 2010-11 and “Dabang” a Skit by the Department of Botany, University of Jammu and “Parho Parhao, Desh Gi Agge Badhao” by the Dogra College of Education bagged the second and third trophy, respectively.
Sudhanshu Gupta and Shefali Gupta, both from The Business School, University of Jammu were adjudged the best actor and actress respectively for their superb acting in the Skit “Jugaad”.
The Certificates of Merit for individual acting were awarded to Rani Kumari from Department of Botany, University of Jammu in “Dabang”, Divjot Kour from GGM Science College, Jammu in “Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan”, Bharat Bhushan from Dogra College of Education in “Parho Parhao, Desh Gi Agge Badhao” and Shallu Rajput from Trikuta College of Education in “Beti Nahin Chahiye”.
The other participating teams were Vaishno Devi College of Education, Government Women College, Parade, Galaxy College of Education, Trikuta Degree College, Department of Computer Science and I.T, University of Jammu and GGM Science College, Jammu.
Shiv Mehta, Dr. Arvindar Amn and Suresh Sharma, were the adjudicators for the said event. The programme was compeered by Madhvi Sharma whereas Joginder Singh acted as the time keeper. Prof. N.K. Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare, University of Jammu, distributed the prizes amongst the winners.
Among others, Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Director, The Business School, Dr. Yash Pal, Dr. Munir Alam Khan, Assistant Dean (SW), Vinay Thusoo, Public Relations Officer and Gagandeep Sharma, Secretary, Students Cultural Council, were also present on this occasion.
