Omar, Chidambaram meet one on one, review security scenario | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 4: Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram who arrived here Thursday had one to one meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the latter’s official residence this morning. During the breakfast meeting which lasted about an hour, the two leaders discussed matters pertaining to security scenario in the state. The issues relating to the development projects were also taken stock of in the meeting. Later, the Chief Minister and the Union Home Minister got appraisal of the security and law and order situation and reviewed the measures in place to maintain peace and tranquility in the State. The meeting among top brass of security forces and J&K Police was attended by Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand and Chief Secretary Madhav Lal. Later, the two leaders reviewed the general law and order situation and security scenario prevailing in the districts of Reasi, Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban at a high level meeting here this morning. They also got the district wise appraisal of the developmental activities and status of various projects under execution in these districts. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal, DGP, J&K Police, Kuldeep Khoda, Principal Secretary, Home, B. R. Sharma, Director General, CRPF, Joint Secretary, Kashmir Affairs, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, B. B. Vyas, Additional Director General, Law & Order, K. Rajendra, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Pawan Kotwal, IGP, Jammu, IGP CID, DIG CID, Jammu, DIG, Udhampur, DIG, Doda-Kishtwar range various senior police and civil officers, District Development Commissioner and SSPs of these districts.
