| Absconder held at Painthal | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 04:
An alleged thief, who was absconding for the past over five years, was today apprehended by police at Painthal checking point.
He was identified as Balwan Chand of Naklotta, Udhampur.Police sources said a theft case was registered against Balwan at the Katra police station in 2001 on the complaint of a man in whose house he worked as a servant.
After he went underground, he was proclaimed as absconder.Sources said he was taken into custody by cops at the Painthal checking point in the morning and whisked away to the Katra police station.
