| Man falls into well, dies | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 04:
A labourer died under mysterious circumstances after he fell into a well at Jagti near Nagrota here last night. Quoting family members, police sources said Mohammad Rafiq, son of Abdul Aziz of Banihal, who worked as labourer at Jagti, last night
went to the village well to collect water.
When he did not return till late at night, family members went to the well and found his body floating in the well waters, the sources added. After the matter was brought to their notice, police rushed to the spot and fished out the body.
After completing legal formalities, cops removed the body to the GMC hospital mortuary where post-mortem was conducted on it this morning. Later, it was handed over to his family for last rites. Police had registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, flower seller Garu Ram, son of Ratan Lal, died at his residence at Shalamar last night. He was alleged to have committed suicide by consuming poison.
A case in this connection stands registered at the concerned police station.
