| JJYM activists flay Gandhi Nagar SHO | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Feb 5 : The Jammu Joint Yuva Morcha (JJYM) activists has criticized the SHO, Gandhi Nagar for mentally harassing the PDP leader Pardeepak Singh Chib alias Deepu Chib, a renowned social activist.
At a meeting at Jammu University here today, President of the Morcha Vishal Singh said that this was the clear cut murder of democracy where the youth of opposition parties were being arrested for no reasons, harassed and threatened . He said that instead of curbing criminals activities in the state, the J&K police has involved itself in such type of tactics just to gain hollow fame and divert the attention of the public towards others issues.
He also appealed to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to direct the police officials not to involve themselves in harassing the nationalist youth of this region otherwise they will be forced to launch a public campaign against the wrong tactics of state government as well as J&K police.
Alleging the failure of the said SHO, Singh said that he himself was involved in such activities which reveal that he was working under some political pressure.
The Morcha has also appealed to the Director General of Police to personally intervene into the matter and to take stern action against the said SHO for harassing the nationalist youth of Jammu province.
Prominent among others who were present include Shivam Rajput, Waheed Khasana, Mohd Arif, Dilbagh Singh, Ravi Malhotra and Shivani Sharma.
