| Warm welcome to Taekwondo medal winners | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 05: Member of the Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association and followers of the game extended a warm welcome to two senior players for winning medals in the recently held 5th Commonwealth Taekwondo Championship held at Chennai on their return here today.
Physical Education Teacher with Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Atul Pangotra and Mohd Saud Bhat have won bronze medals in the competition.
For both of these karatekas, it was their maiden achievement at the international level.
Another Jammu man, Brinder Manhas represented India in the Commonwealth Championship as technical assistant.
Later, the medals winners also called on Minister for Sports, R S Chib and Commissioner Secretary Technical Education and Sports, BA Runial to seek their blessings.
Meanwhile, president of the Association, PC Sharma congratulated both the medal winners and announced to honour them with cash awards in near future.
