| Pahari students demand ST status | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 5: J&K Pahari Speaking Student Union today said that S.T. status was getting delayed even after various recommendations by Justice Sager Report.
Addressing a press conference, president of union Abdul Qadar Khan highlighted various demand is being suffered by the community. He said that approximately Rs 25,000 educated youth are at the verge of overage because of disparities. Khan demanded S.T. status be granted as soon as possible so that the future of these youth get saved.
Other demands included increase in scholarship as the same was given to few students that too of government institutions, due representation in information and broadcasting. Meanwhile, Khan threatened to launch an agitation, if there demands are not conceded at the earliest.
