| Army recruitment rally gets good response | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb 5: A large number of youth aspirants form Jammu district attended Army Recruitment Rally held at Sunjuwan military garrison today.
“Today was second day of the ongoing rally for ten districts of Jammu region which started yesterday with the youth from Samba and will be continued upto February 10, for first phase of recruiting process”, said Col Ravindran, Director Recruiting of ARO Jammu.
He informed almost 30-35 percent of the thousands of candidates get rejected at the initial stage due to lack of requisite physical standard and inadequacy or incomplete documents.
A team of officers from other regions conducted the free and fair selection process. Elaborate arrangements have been made by the Sunjuwan Brigade for smooth conduct of the rally.
SP(South) and SHO, Chhanni Himmat of J&K Police also play a pivotal role for smooth running of the rally by controlling huge crowd.
The Recruiting Officer also made the aspirants aware of the pitfalls incase they utilized the sources of touts and people who charge money in the name of recruitment as this was a free service and there was no fee involved.
He also requested all candidates to inform the recruiting office in case any unauthorised person demands money for recruitment.
