Coalition should not test the patience of youth: BJP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 5: Extending full support to the demands of unemployed Agriculture Technocrats, Unemployed Forestry Graduates and Physiotherapists, BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the NC-Congress coalition should not test the patience of thousands of such youths, majority of whom are on the verge of being over-aged. The BJP chief stated this after meeting a series of deputations at party headquarters on Saturday. The delegation under banner of All Jammu & Kashmir Unemployed Forestry Graduate Association led by its President Sahil Pandoh, in a memorandum, submitted to the BJP Chief, alleged that in the recently advertised posts of Forestry and Forest Protection Inspectors, SSRB has given more weightage to simple 10+2 candidates while those possessing graduate and Post Graduate degrees in forestry have been given just 10 points. “By doing so, SSRB has sidelined the higher qualified candidates, which is an intentional move to adjust lesser qualified candidates having access to high ups in the administration,” they further alleged. Similarly, a deputation of Agriculture Technocrats Association, led by Surinder Radotra, said that before every budget session the State government misleads them by promising to absorb them on permanent basis. They said that government should take a decision to regularise their services as they have been working under Rehbar-e-Zirat for the last four years. Manhas said that with each passing year, the number of unemployed youth in the state, is going up because of absence of Omar Abdullah-led government’s clear policy on employment. He said whether it is regular employee or an unemployed youth, there is resentment among them against state government. He said that the grievances of Physiotherapists too have not been mitigated despite the fact that hundreds of graduates and post graduates in Physiotherapy are agitating for over two months. Terming the much proclaimed Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Scheme announced by the government last year as a farce and cruel joke, Manhas said that the employment policy has to be realistic and effective.
