Bhalla lays foundation of revenue complex at Rehal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 5: Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla has said Government is formulating a comprehensive plan for opening of Niabats in remote and far-off areas of the State so that the people are facilitated regarding land management and revenue records at their doorsteps. This was stated by the Minister while addressing a large gathering after laying the foundation stone of Rs 74.80 lakh revenue complex at Rehal village in Bishnah town, here this afternoon. Bhalla informed the Revenue Complex (Niabat Building) would be constructed on available space about 3451.84 square feet at Rehal village adding that on the completion of complex, the populace of Rehal, Majua, Kheri, Shahpur, Thikerwali, Mian Chak, Manghal, Tarap, Pandorian, Bummal etc would be benefited. He asked the R&B authorities to complete the construction work of the building in one year so that the locals could solve their revenue related problems at their doorstep office. He asked Tehsildar, Bishnah to attend the revenue related issues of Rehal village at least three days a week.
Regarding compensation to 2008 and 2010 hailstorm affected farmers, Bhalla said on the concerted efforts of coalition government, the central Government has approved Rs. 90 crore package for immediately distribution of relief to the affected people. He assured the Government would extend every help to the affected farmers adding that it would soon conduct a survey to ascertain the losses and work out compensation. He said direction have been issued to revenue officers for early submission of lists of their jurisdictions so that the compensation could be disbursed among the affected farmers.
