| Army organizes educational tour for children | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAAJ (Thanamandi), Feb 6: An education tour for school children to Delhi, Agra and Lucknow was flagged off today by Commander Sector Rashtriya Rifles.
Tour comprising of 23 school children belonging to remote areas of Parore Gujran, Daryar, Dhar Sakri, Manyal and Saaj and two school teachers is being organised from February 6 to 16, 2011 under Operation Sadbhavna by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Romeo Force.
School children selected for the tour will be travelling outside their villages for the first time. During the tour, the children will witness rich heritage of Delhi, Agra and Lucknow by visiting Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, India Gate, Sansad Bhawan, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Bada Imambada, Bhool Bhulaiya, Zoo and Botanical Garden.
At the flag off ceremony, Commander Sector Rashtriya Rifles interacted with the children and asked them to extract the best out of this opportunity. He exhorted upon the touring party to work hard and contribute positively towards the national growth by becoming responsible citizens. Parents, teachers and locals gathered on the occasion thanked the Army for organising this tour and providing this unique opportunity to children of the remote area to see other parts of our country.
