| PDP delegation calls on family of killed NC activist | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Feb 7: A high level delegation of PDP today called on the bereaved family of Manzoor Ahmed Magrey at chogal who was killed at the hands of Security forces. Delegation was led by party Senior Leader and Former Minister Ghulam Mohiudin Sofi.
Delegation conveyed condolences of the party to the family especially to the parents of the Manzoor Ahmed .On this occasion, Sofi flayed NC-led government for its failures in protecting lives and security of common people and said that government has totally failed and put the life of common people particularly youth in danger without having any accountability of the security forces.
He also criticized government for failing in taking action against culprits of those involved in the innocent killings whether it is the case of aged Mohammed Ramzan of Kupwara, Machil encounter or other innocent killings in the valley.
If justice should have been initiated in the earlier cases of Machill or Kupwara killing today’s incident should have not happened, by delaying the judicial and legal action against the involved persons this government seems to have worked on papers only and keep the ground open for such criminals.
Making hollow promises NC led government has not only betrayed the people’s faith on democratic and political setup but have also increased insecurity among common masses. “This government has totally lost its credibility and moral authority”, he added. Sofi demanded for judicial probe and stern action against persons involved in brutal killing of Manzoor Ahmed and compensation to the family of victim.
