| UMAA to organise Karate championship | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 6: Universal Martial Art Academy (UMAA) today announced that it would be organizing Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Karate Championship in Jammu
In a handout issued here today, President Chander Mohan said that Buddhist monk is cited as prime source for all martial arts styles and India is considered as birth place of Buddhism. General Secretary of club Ambedkar Gupta said that now-a-days martial art has been developed more as sport which is having good as well as bad aspects.
He added that his organisation is planning to construct a stadium of martial arts in Jammu so that the renowned national and international players visit there and National and International Level of trainings and tournaments could be organized. Those who were present on the occasion included Sajad Mufti (DFO), Abhey Pargal, Sooraj Sharma, Navneet Mishra, Advocate Sanjeev Sareen , Seema Malhotra, Rama Raina, Sunil Sharma, Sadhaya Arora and Ramneek Gupta.
