| NSS holds valedictory function of special winter camp | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 6: National Service Scheme (NSS) units of GGM Science College both morning and evening organised valedictory function of special winter camp at adopted area Bal Niketan Ambphalla today.
In a handout issued here today, programme coordinator of NSS University of Jammu Dr. Jasbir Singh was Chief Guest. Capt. Parshotam Sharma was guest of honour while Prof. M.S. Baloria presided over the function. Prof. V.K. Chandan presented formal welcome address and read the annual report of the NSS units of the College.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal the College Prof. Dr M.S Baloria highlighted work done by NSS volunteers. He appreciated volunteers who collected donation for Leh food victims and also donated blood to needy patients. He stressed upon the volunteers that they should follow the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and maintain their interest in social activities.
Prof R.K Sharma, Prof V.K Chandan and Prof Ram Singh P.O were also present Mohd Arif and Sumit Kuamr Dogra NSS Commanders of the College and senior volunteers organized the programme. Later on prize distribution function was also held in which prizes were distributed under different categories. Senior NSS volunteers who attend NIC were also felicitated during the function. Prof R.K Sharma presented the voted and thanks. Senior NSS volunteers present or this occasion were Arjum Tahir, Priti, Anu Manhas, Parveen Sharma, Rohit Kumar, Prikshit Bali, Sachin and Vikaram Pratap Singh etc
