| Employment fair kicked off at Arnas | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Arnas (Reasi), Feb 6: Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf and Fisheries, Ajaz Ahmad Khan along with Minister of State for Co operatives, Dr. Manohar Lal today inaugurated a day-long employment and kissan fair here today. Various Government departments and agencies had put up their stalls at the fair.
The fair was organized by the Department of Agriculture under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, Extension programme for extension reforms. Departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Sericulture, Floriculture and several Krishi Vigyan Kendras had put up their stalls which the Ministers went through. Agencies like banks, handlooms, ICDS, handicrafts had also put up their stalls.
A large number of people visited the fair and enquired about the schemes and programmes.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Ajaz outlined various measures taken by the Government for strengthening rural economy in the State. He said the aim of such fairs is to create awareness among rural masses about the welfare schemes of the Government.
