JAMMU, Feb 6: State boys and girls volleyball teams today left for participation in the Junior National Volleyball Championships to be held at Bijapur in Karnataka from February 10 to February 17.
Selected by the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, both these teams earlier underwent a coaching camp held at MA Stadium, here.
The teams are accompanied by Subash Shastri and Mohinder Sharma (boys), Rayees Ahmed Bhat and Mohd Tariq (girls) as managers.
While boys’ team has been pitted against Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Manipur in Pool-A league round, girls have to face West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Manipur in Pool-D.
Earlier, both the teams were flagged off by the Association at MA Stadium, here. The office bearers of the Association wished the young spikers success in the upcoming event.

BOYS: Dushant Baporia (Samba); Deepak Sharma (Samba), lmran Fazali (Poonch), Davinder Gularia (Jammu), Gorav Sharma (Kathua), Vikrant Sharma (Jammu), Mohd Yasir Mir (Baramulla), Razim Tariq (Poonch), Bakhatwar Singh (Jammu), Altaf Ahmed (Ramban), Gulshan Kumar (Kathua), Narinder Singh (Jammu).
GIRLS: Mansi Sharma, Seema Devi, Nisha Verma, Puja Devi (all district Samba), Priya Sharma (Kathua), Neeta Devi (Kathua), Sangita Sharma (Rajouri), Heman Sharma (Poonch), Kazal Akhtar (Poonch), Racha Bali (Poonch), Sunita Devi (Jammu), Shaheen Akhtar (Udhampur).
