Offset printing courses in ITIs on cards | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, FEB 7- The government is contemplating to introduce offset printing technology courses in the Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for which modalities have been worked out. This was disclosed by the Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Prof. R. S. Chib. The Minister was speaking at a function organised by the J&K Offset Printers Association in collaboration with Kashmir Times and Dainik Jagran. Prof. Chib said that central government has launched Skill Development Mission under which youth are being given training in various trades to overcome the problem of unemployment in the state. He highlighted the importance of Offset printing saying that it has attained great heights with lot of scope for employment. Keeping in view, the new technological changes, he said it is imperative that the work force is trained accordingly. He underscored the need for encouraging the local private printing industry in the state.
