| Over 1 lakh offered traditional “Khoja Diggar” | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Feb 7: Inspite of snow and rain, Shehri Khaas witnessed huge gathering of one lakh devotees at Ziarat Naqshband Sahib (RA), Khawaja Bazaar where traditional “Khoja Diggar” was offered.
It is since centuries that on this very particular day this Khoja Diggar is offered amidst Darood Khawani and Naat Khawani. Prof. Tayub Kamili delivered sermons on the occasion.
Prof. Tayub Kamili described in detail historical and religious importance of “Khoja Diggar”.
The Secretary Auqaf, M.S. Rather expressed gratitude to the government and all departments who have played a vital role in ensuring all the arrangements. The Traffic, Police, Auqaf, Health, PHE, Power, Information, CA&PD and SMC were appreciated for their cooperation.
