| Gul reviews development works in Srinagar city | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Feb 7: Advisor to Chief Minsiter, Mubarak Gul today conducted an extensive tour of Srinagar city and took stock of various ongoing developmental activities.
Gul visited Malik Sahib Safa Kadal, Chaidob, Danwar, Chai Nambal Ganderpora, Gassi Mohalla, Haji Nambal, Veer Chattabal etc.
The Advisor was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sarmad Hafiz and also the senior officers of electricity, Municipality, PHE, UEED and CA&PD.
Mubarak Gul asked the concerned officers to evaluate the cost of a house of Ghulam Mohammad Malla so that the house can be converted into a community hall .
Gul also visited Veer Chattabal and discussed the proposal for shifting the boats and their rehabilitation.
The Advisor also conducted a surprise visit of JFM dispensary Gasi Mohalla and enquired from the patients about the availability of medical facilities and medicare provided to them in the hospital.
Earlier, the Advisor held a meeting of the senior officers of district Srinagar where the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, M.A. Kakroo and other heads of departments were present. The meeting was informed that till ending January 2011, Rs. 36.11 crore against the approved allocation of Rs. 45.42 crore has been spent so far, thus constituting 65 percent of the released amount.
On this occasion, Gul stressed upon the officers for completing all the ongoing development works within the stipulated time.
Later, Mubarak Gul also visited SMHS Hospital and went round various wards. He asked the hospital authorities to ensure that the heating system is running.
