| DDC holds review meet of rural development sector | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kupwara, Feb 7: The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara M.S. Rather today convened an officers meeting under Rural Development Sector and reviewed the ongoing development works in the district.
The Additional District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, Assistant Development Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer, and Engineers from Rural Development Sector were present in the meeting.
It was given out that under MG, NREGA, Rs. 15 crore, out of Rs 17 crore has been expended on the execution of 1357 works in rural areas and Rs. 8.6 lakh job days were generated so far. While under Indira Awas Yojna, Rs. 7.77 lakh are being made available and Rs 5.95 lakh expended so far by completing 682 new low cost houses and upgradation of 377 houses under BADP Rs. 4.85 crore were expended which accounts 37 percent of total expenditure.
The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara exhorted upon the concerned to take steps for completion of all ongoing works and newly proposed works under their jurisdiction and maintain closed coordination.
The review meeting also discussed several issues regarding BRGF, District Plan, BADP, NREGA, IAY, MP Leads/CDs works thread barely.
