| Court frames charges against District Officer KVIB | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Feb-7 :- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu AK Koul today framed corruption charges against Mohd Zaman former Incharge District officer Khadi Village Industry Board Rajouri who was caught red-handed while accepting bribe Rs 5000/-.
According to the case accused being posted as Incharge District officer Khadi Village Industries Board Rajouri by abusing his official position and demanded bribe 10,000 from the brother of complainant for sanction of loan Rs 1 lac. That on February 1, 2010 while the accused demanded & Accepted Rs 5000 as advance payment for sanction of loan in favour of the brother of the complainant and was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe money of Rs 5000 from the complainant. The VOJ team recovered the bribe money immediately after accepted by the accused and a case was registered and after completion of investigation challan was presented in the Court.
The Court hearing CPO Purshtom Sharma appearing for the VOJ framed charges against Mohd Zaman u/s 5(2) JK PC Act 2006 r/w 161 RPC and started trial of the case. JNF
