An army mortar shell, misfired during a target practice session in Samba sector of Jammu, landed in a village but caused no loss of life or damage to property, officials said today.
Army jawans were on a drill in a practice zone in the area last evening when a mortar shell shot beyond the target and exploded near Badaiya village, they said.
There was some commotion in the area due to the blast but no loss of life or damage to property, they added. |
