11/10/2006 11:00:51 PM
Mumbai, Nov 10
At least ninety-two passengers were injured when the 113 Surat-Bhusawal train derailed near Kolde station, 10 kms from Navapur, in Maharashtra in the early hours today.
According to railway control room sources, five boggies of the train derailed near the station at 0500 hrs.
A medical relief train rushed to the accident site.
The cause of the accident is not immediately known and the matter
is under investigation, the sources said.
The injured have been admitted to the rural hospital in Navapur.
The local primary health centre staff has reached the hospital
to render assistance, and the Dhule civil hospital has also been
alerted. However, due to the proximity of Surat, they might shift
patients there, resident doctors of the hospital said. Medical aid
is being administered to the injured and so far there have been no
major casualties, they added
