Individualized education programme for disabled ends | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, FEBRUARY 8 – A fortnightly individualized education programme (IEP) organized by MIER for special B. Ed scholars concluded today at Prerna Institute of Rehabilitation & Research here. The programme was a part of teaching practice for B. Ed Special Education Students under the IEP and Group Teaching. Dr. D.R. Kapoor, Director Research MIER , who was the chief guest, thanked Sahyog India for helping in this endeavor and providing great organizational support to enable special B. Ed scholars to complete teaching practice for Special Education Component with the Special Children . Dr B.L. Raina, HOD, M. Ed course MIER in his presidential address said the 25 scholars of Special B. Ed from MIER belonging to various states had a great opportunity and unique experience, as Sahyog India is the leading organization of the state in the field of social services for the rehabilitation of the Persons with Disabilities. Dr. Ashvini Jojra, founder president, Sahyog India welcomed the philanthropic decision of Dr. Arun, Gupta Chairman, MIER, Dr. Renu Gupta Director MIER for sending a batch of 25 scholars of Special Education to deliberate & interact with other Special Children here. He assured full support in future and said that Sahyog India & MIER will go hand-in-hand to help the disable in the state and at the national level involving the Govt. & Non-Govt. Agencies working in this field. HOD B. Ed Special Education (M.R.) MIER, Dr. Rajinder Pravin also spoke as the occasion.
