| 3-day employment fair inaugurated | | |

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 08-
The District Administration, Jammu today organised a 3-day employment fair at Dussehera Ground, here to create awareness among the unemployed youth of the area about various State and Centrally sponsored Self Employment and other credit driven schemes.
The fair was inaugurated by Minister for Labour and Employment, Abdul Gani Malik. MLA Gurez, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi was also present.
In his inaugural address, Malik congratulated the district administration, Jammu for organizing the employment fair for the general awareness of the unemployed educated youth of the district. .
Referring to the Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Welfare Programme, the Minister said that the scheme under this programme offer a series of incentives for encouraging the educated youth to go for self employment. He said the most attractive part of the programme was the provision of seed capital.
He instructed the administration to help the interesting youth in completing the formalities and ensure that they do not face any problem in processing their cases.
Malik also referred to the tourism, poultry, sheep, agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, bee-keeping, mushroom, retails shops and small industries and said these have great employment potential.
Earlier, the Minister along with Nazir Ahmad Gurezi, District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Director Employment, Shaffqat Noor inspected 30 stalls put up by various departments and directed them to provide every type of information about the schemes of their respective departments so that the youth can make a better choice as per their interests and potentials.
DC, Jammu, Director Employment, Deputy Director District Employment and Counselling Centre, Jammu along with all district level officers and large number of people were also present.
