| DC discusses preparedness for second phase of Census-2011 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 08- A meeting with regard to the second phase of population enumeration 2011 was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Jammu Sanjeev Verma here today.
The second phase of enumerating data of individuals will commence in the district, along with the rest of the country, from February 9 to 28, 2011.
DDC stressed that the supervisors and enumerators entrusted with job of census work should work with zeal and dedication to ensure proper collection of census data.
Verma appealed the masses to extend their whole-hearted support and co-operation in this noble endeavour besides provide correct information to the enumerators, failing to which may lead to create a faulty database of the population. He requested people to cooperate with census officers who would visit their houses in the district to collect essential information.
The meeting was attended by Additional DC Jammu Sheetal Nanda, Tehsildar Nazool Jammu Mr. Pritam Dass, Tehsildar Jammu, Tehsildar Akhnoor, Tehsildar R. S. Pura, Tehsildar Bishnah and other senior officers of concerned department.
