Army conducts pre-recruitment training | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 8: As part of its ongoing public outreach campaign under Operation Sadbhavana, Army conducted a four weeks long coaching capsule for the youth of Banihal and Khari areas. Capsule was aimed at generating awareness among the youth regarding the recruitment procedure as well as to impart them coaching on the aspects of physical and written tests. In the initial stages, trainees were screened for eligibility in terms of physical and educational criteria. Eligible candidates were then put through rigorous regimen of physical training and coaching classes on General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and History, by qualified team of instructors from Army. A total of 36 candidates have undergone the training capsule, which will enable them to come out with flying colours in the ongoing Recruitment Rally being conducted at Jammu from February 4 to 12. Date for Ramban District is February 8. Army intends to conduct more training capsules in the future, prior to scheduled dates of the recruitment rallies. Meanwhile, Romeo Force also organised pre-recruitment training for youth. As part of this initiative, Rashtriya Rifles Battalions under the aegis of Romeo Force have carried out detailed screening of eligible volunteer youth in the respective areas of responsibility. Shortlisted and selected youth are being put through systematic training with a view to ensure that they qualify physical and written tests in the Army Recruitment Rallies.
