Fake currency racket | Court rejects bail application of HM militant | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 8 (JNF): Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Jammu M.S.Parihar rejected bail application of Showkat Mohi-ud-Din Kutay and Sohail Mubarak, both residents of Kulgam and alleged activists of HM organization involved in fake currency racket. CJM Jammu M.S.Parihar after hearing Adv Iqbal Hussain Bhat appearing for applicants/accused and CPO Pawan Khajuria appearing for police and after perusal of police report observed that it transpires that applicants are allegedly involved in the commission of offence u/s 489-B, 489-C RPC and section 13 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967 since fake currency has been recovered from their possession. CJM said that allegations against the accused are of serious nature and offences allegedly committed by applicants are non-bailable. He added that one of the applicant Sohail Mubarakh was earlier also found involved in the same offence and the case is pending in the court. Some letter pads of HM militant organization have also been recovered from the possession of the applicants and the object of the applicants in carrying out the unlawful activities is to weaken economy of the nation by spreading in the open market fake currency notes, opined CJM. On these grounds and while saying that investigation in the case is under process, CJM dismissed bail application of the accused.
