Govt failed in granting relief to militancy victims of Jammu Province: Tehreek-e-Insaf

Jammu, Feb 9: Tehreek-e-Insaf-Jammu organized a dharna protest before old Divisional Commissioner Office, Mubarak Manadi Jammu in view of their long pending demands. Briefing the protesters president of Tehreek-e-Insaf Mohd.Aslam Kohli said this protest is a part of the week long dharana protest program across the Jammu region.
He said that dharna protests were organized at all the militancy affected tehsil and district headquarters of Jammu Province.
He said 8 lakh people are badly affected by militancy in Jammu region and at least 12000 families were forced to migrate from their native places but the govt.did nothing for these affected families of Jammu Province.
Accusing the govt. of failure in granting the relief to the militancy affected people from Jammu at par with Kashmiri migrants chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf Mohd.Farooq Mir said issuance of an order under which a family who has monthly income of more than Rs.5000 will be deprived of the compensation of Rs.5Lakh in the event any of its member is killed by terrorists, is a set back for our poor people.
Mir demanded that this order be immediately revoked and the militancy affected people from Jammu region be given all those benefits given to the migrants of Kashmir Valley.
Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Beg advisor of Tehreek-e-Insaf and chairman Doda migrants committee said for the last 5 years they were holding dharna protests at Mubarak Mandi but no one paid any heed for their problems. He said thousands of the migrant families are suffering under starvation.
Dharna protest was also attended by Ravinder Raina general secretary, Som Nath, Som Raj, Rakesh Sharma and a large number of migrants including women.
Later leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf submitted the memorandum of their demands to the Chief Minister through P A to Chief Minister Mubarak Gul.
