Led by young and energetic, turbaned Hardeep Singh, J&K looked confident to take on star-studded side of Delhi. Besides, Mithun Manhas and international cricketer, Ishant Sharma, Delhi side is full of experienced cricketers. “Most probably, Delhi would be led by Mithun Manhas. Pacer, Ishant Sharma was also seen practicing in nets along with other senior cricketers from the national capital,” said Hardeep talking to SAN on telephone. For Delhi, Ishant Sharma, who failed to find a place in the World Cup squad will be waiting in the wings to do well in the one-dayers to get the selectors nod again for doing the national duty while from J&K it will be a golden opportunity for youngsters to showcase their talent and skill at the higher circuit. “Any way, the young side of ours is confident enough to take on the experience opponent in the limited overs game tomorrow. The boys are excited to face Ishant Sharma on a bowler friendly wicket,” He further said. The Hardeep-led J&K possesses six cricketers, who were the part of the under-22 team that had created history by qualifying for the knock-out stage, two seasons back.
