Sitting MLA, brothers refuse Narco Analysis Test

Jammu, Feb-09 :- A sitting MLA and his brothers refused to undergo Narco Analysis and other tests in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) here today. The MLA and his brothers are suspects in a murder case.
The body of a contractor identified as Raj Singh was found on March 30, 1999 under neath Tawi Bridge. As per status report filed by police in which sitting MLA Jugal Kishore, Nand Kishore and Ganesh Kumar alias Munna all s/o Bal Krishan r/o Kishanpur Manwal are suspects in the case.
This status report was filed by police in application filed by the Dina Nath father of deceased Raj Singh through Advocate Koushal Parihar. According to case the IO recorded the statement of 69 witnesses but no concrete clue regarding the actual culprits could be struck out. However three persons namely Jugal Kishore (sitting MLA), Nand Kishore and Ganesh Kumar alias Munna real brothers emerge as suspects. Except Jugal Kishore the other two were questioned but no break through was achieved. Later the case was closed as untraced and the police filed closure report in the Court. However, the court refused to accept the closure report and directed reinvestigation of the case. After more than 10 years of investigation the police filed status report in the Court on February 7, 2011.
Earlier Court while directing reinvestigation of the case observed that the deceased and Jugal Kishore stated to be sitting MLA of area were involved in construction business and both the parties were interested in constructing railway bridges. Moreover a case FIR No 25/1995 u/s 307/148/34 RPC r/w section 4/7 Arms Act stood registered at Jhajjar Kotli, wherein Sham Singh the brother of deceased Raj Singh was the complainant because. During investigation it came to light that there had been repeated scrims between the parties.
The Court further observed that one Julekhan w/o Maskeen Ali r/o Kishen Pur had stated on June 4, 2001 that she was offered Rs 50,000 by one Sansar Chand r/o Kishen Pur, Parkash Singh, Sham Lal r/o Khorkhoo with the condition that she must state before the police that deceased jumped from the bridge. Her statement was corroborated by Juman s/o Bikka r/o Jhajjar Kotli, this means that both these persons are to be the eye-witnesses.
