38 Rajouri students back from Mumbai tour | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb-09: To enhance awareness and national integration, Army’s Ace of Spades Division Rajouri hold Sadbhava tour of 38 children and four teachers to various areas of India. The tour was flagged in by General Officer in Commanding Major General Om Parkash where other army commanders and officers were also present. The educational tour aimed to provide exposure to the children of remote areas of Rajouri to rich cultural heritage of India as well as to spread the message of peace and harmony. The tour also aimed to enhance the knowledge and give a glimpses of modern India to these children and also provide them with an opportunity to interact with the people of different cultures. The tour was scheduled from January 26 to February 9 and visited prominent places like Pune Goa Mumbai. During the tour the school children had an opportunity to visit many important places and meet prominent citizens. The visited Army Sports Institute, National Defence Academy, College of Military Engineering, Bombay Engineering Group, Infosys IT Park. During Mumbai tour, they visited Sagarika Complex, Gateway of India, Taj Hotel, Price of Wales Museum, Marine Drive, Haji Ali Mosque, Sidhi Vinayak Mandir, Film City, Elephanta Cave, Juhu Chapaty whereas in Goa they visited Konkan Coast, Cathedral Church, Golden Bell, Basilica , Calanguta Beach, Mirmar Beach and Archeological Museum.
