Ramban Police organizes Yoga camp

Jammu, Feb-09: In an attempt to distress the men and officers of Police department, Ramban Police organized a yoga camp at New DPL Ramban under the able guidance of the local yoga experts.
The main motive of this yoga camp was to make the police personnel physically as well as mentally strong and fit so that they could deliver better services to the society. It is pertinent to mention here that a talent hunt show "Choona hai Aasma was also held yesterday in which students from various colleges/schools of district Ramban besides local citizens participated. The winners and participants were given prizes and mementoes. The function was part of the Community Policing initiatives of Jammu and Kashmir police to channalize the energies of youth in constructive purposes.

NSF seeks security for Pak minorities

Jammu, Feb-09 JAMMU, Feb 9: National Sikh Front (NSF) has urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to seek security for minorities especially Hindus and Sikhs living Pakistan.
In a handout issued here today, Chairman of NSF Varinderjeet Singh has claimed of having written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking security minorities living in Pakistan. He has also requested for extending political asylum to those Hindus and Sikhs who want to come to India and grant them Indian citizenship.
He said that a recent incident of jaziya tax been forcefully demanded has come and Hindus are being harassed for that in Baluchistan. Varinder jeet Singh has also called up the president of Pakistan Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee Sham Singh to protect the minorities living in Pakistan.
