| HC stays promotions of AEs in PDD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Feb 9: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir stayed the promotion of Asstt Engineers PDD to the post of Asstt. Executive Engineer in the event of non formulation and publication of seniority of AEs in PDD on writ petition held by Bari Ram Sharma and Mond Ishad Wani.
Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar issued notice to the Commissioner Secretary, Additional Secretary and Under Secretary PDD and 35 others to file reply affidavit in the case.
The petitioner filed the case through Advocate Ashok Sharma pleaded that 123 JEs in PDD were promoted in 2006 as I/c AEs without finalizing the seniority list and also violating the reservation roster and promotion rulers as well on representation the petitioner were promoted in April 2007 without giving the benefit of service in continuity i.e from Dec. 2006. Now the official respondents are contemplating to promote I/c AEs as I/c AEEs without finalizing the seniority list of AEs and event without regularizing the service of AEs which is against the regulation.
